Losing weight could sometimes prove too difficult and the thought of eating food and losing weight might seem a tad hard to believe, especially if you have been advised to eat as fewer times as possible. In the end, it might be hard to believe, but that doesn’t mean it is unattainable,
because there is some food which causes us to lose weight when consumed, and there are others that don’t have that effect directly but help set the stage or at least contribute in one way or the other in helping us lose weight. Some of these foods are listed below.
Oatmeal: a serving of oatmeal contains just 3 grams which are also the good types of fat the body needs (polyunsaturated & monounsaturated).You can tweak it and prepare it in different ways, but make sure not to add anything that would contain the fats you are trying to burn. Oats are naturally satisfying and contain more fibers and fewer calories than most of our choice breakfasts. You can prepare your oats with some other foods with low calories like apples, berries.
Beans: beans are one of the best sources of protein and also contain a high level of fiber. The body takes longer in digesting beans which is a good thing for you, because it would keep you full for long, thus stopping you from eating too much
Lean meat and eggs: eating a meal rich in protein as breakfast keeps you feeling full throughout the day, and helps avoid snacks and in-between meals. Sometimes after eating a meal heavy in protein content, all your body would need from you throughout the day would be water. You feel yourself craving for water, and when it hits your lips, it feels so good.
Nuts: munching on nuts have been proven to make people eat less during the day, and these nuts are healthy snacks too, with the right nutrition to keep you feeling like you have eaten as much as your body needs. Walnuts, peanuts, and almond are some of these very healthy snacks.
Apples: this is a whole fruit that helps blunt your appetite and makes you feel full, thereby craving for less food.
Pureed Veggies: adding the cooked vegetable to any meal you are eating, helps cut down the effects of the other components of such meal that might have been naturally unhealthy. If you can, always choose fresh vegetables.
Grapefruit: contains pectin and soluble fiber which helps in lowering the cholesterol level in the blood. It is widely believed that eating grapefruit or drinking its juice before taking your meal helps burn fat. It could also be used as breakfast to help jump-start the digestion process.
